Teaser of Shahid Kapoor’s next Kabir Singh is finally out!
Kabir Singh is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language drama film written and directed by Sandeep Vanga. The movie is a remake of the directors own Telugu film Arjun Reddy, released in 2017. The film is in a joint production with Cine1 Studios and T-Series. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani.
The movie is based on an alcoholic surgeon who goes on a self-destructive path after his ex-lover marries someone else. In the movie Shahid Kapoor is playing the role of Kabir Singh, who is a medical student “with an impeccable academic record” and a bona-fide alcoholic. But that’s the least of his problems and he is always angry.
Kabir Singh, a final year student at the Delhi Institute Of Medical Science is one of the finest surgeons of his batch but suffers from anger management issues.
In the trailer Shahid Kapoor is on the terrace of a building and putting a bottle of alcohol into an overhead water tank and then drinks from it. He enters the classroom with smoke billowing out of his mouth and then beats the pulp out of a fellow student in the middle of a fight.
But the only person who calms him down is his love interest Preethi, played by Kiara Advani. The teaser ends with Kabir kissing Preethi and that becomes their little secret.
The actor announced the news on his Instagram account with a poster of the upcoming film and captioned the image, “Find the #kabirsingh within you. @kiaraaliaadvani @sandeepreddy.vanga #BhushanKumar @muradkhetani #KrishanKumar @ashwinvarde @tseries.official @cine1studios @kabirsinghmovie.”
Shahid Kapoor also shared a post on his twitter handle on the release of the teaser.

The movie is remake of Telugu hit film ‘Arjun Reddy‘, which catapulted Vijay Deverakonda to the league of A-listers in Tollywood.
The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde.
The movie is set to hit the big screens on June 21, this year.
